I remember my first experience on stage was a cast member in “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” Waiting back stage with talking animals, dryads, dwarves and werewolves was almost as magical as finding a wardrobe with a world inside.
Here are some fun ideas for a Narnia Drama Day.
- Add context with “Finding Narnia,” a picture book biography of C.S. Lewis
- Try Turkish Delight
- Use the prophecies the Beaver tells the children about Aslan for memory work and practice them with hand motions – this will give your children’s minds exercise and words for when they are engaged in imaginative play throughout the day
- Dress up in winter coats and have tea and toast
